Rain, Lightning Alert in Goa for next 5 to 7 days
PANAJI: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has put out a lightning alert for Goa, warning people not to work in open areas during rain and lightning activity, or even take shelter under tall trees during the next few days.
While the last two days were comparatively dry, moderate rains are likely in parts of Goa over the next few days. Rain activity is likely to pick up from Saturday and continue for the next few days.
The Goa unit of the IMD said the cloudy weather condition will continue for five to six days over Goa. Along with which, there is a likelihood of some increase in rainfall activity from November 14 or 15 onwards. There are chances of heavy lightning and thundershowers over a few isolated places in the State.
The weather fluctuation is following a depression near the Tamil Nadu coast, which is weakened into a low-pressure area.
Another fresh low-pressure area is likely to form over the south Andaman Sea and the neighbourhood by Saturday, bringing rain to parts of South India, including Goa. Read More Here
