MAPUSA: The top brass of the Goa police has swung into action in the Siddhi Naik death case and constituted a Medical Board to look into the observations made in the post-mortem report.

It is learnt that the cops have sought opinions from some private legal eagles in Goa on the statements or observations in the written complaint submitted by the father of the deceased 19-year-old girl.

The girl’s father had told the Calangute police earlier that his daughter was killed by “sudden, forcible drowning”.

In a written complaint submitted on Thursday and obviously drafted by a lawyer, he has alleged that his daughter was murdered and was killed by abrupt or sudden, forced drowning and also mentioned that there was no way his daughter clothes could have come undone.

The cops have asked the dean of the government-run GMC for an expert medical opinion in the matter.
