PANAJI: Most Goans do not seem to be impressed by the media campaign of the All India Trinamool Congress, terming the advertisements and hoardings as mere drama and hype.

“The TMC is yet to prove it’s point. Before elections even independent candidates make promises to change the world. Like at beauty pageants, every contestant and candidate wants to be a Mother Teresa and achieve world peace and help the downtrodden. Such political beauty queens appear a few months before elections. We are not impressed at all,” said Olga Vaz from Navelim – an influential woman’s rights’ activist from South Goa.

The TMC has to prove itself. The party cannot expect to ride into Goa six months before an election and expect people to blindly vote for them. Where were they during the pandemic, the oxygen crisis and the lockdown,” Dilip Mandrekar from Mapusa asked?
