According to her management she was shooting outdoors in hot, humid weather at a resort in South Goa when she fainted due to excessive exertion and lack of hydration. The name and exact location of the resort was undisclosed due to security and privacy reasons.

Priya was rushed to a local clinic where she was given IV hydration and nutrition. Her condition is now stable and she is recovering. She was provided glucose and fluids via an IV drip, when first admitted at the private clinic.

The previous day too, Priya and her team had a serious of strenuous dance rehearsals and action scenes, which added to the exertion and in the hot weather, she failed to drink enough liquids and water, her manager Sujeet Fernandes said.

She recently shot for a Punjabi music video sung by a Canadian NRI rapper which will be released next month.

Depending on her health situation, she will be discharged from the clinic and will leave for Mumbai on Saturday evening, Fernandes informed.
