Director Maneesh F Singh’s ‘One Gram Only’ film inspired by NCB drug raids, Aryan Khan’s arrest and Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide set to roll

MUMBAI: Director and producer Maneesh F Singh has come out with a hilarious comedy film project titled “One Gram Only”, which according to him is inspired by the raids carried out by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and specifically the NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede who is the main protagonist of the film.

He rushes to explain that his film is only inspired by the sequence of events and the going-on of the last two years. My film is not based on the actual events, just draws inspiration from what has transpired over time, including Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide and Aryan Khan’s arrest.

Singh refused to divulge who plays the Wankhede-inspired character, but explained that it is a self-righteous, truth seeking, quixotic individual who sees ferocious giants in windmill blades and huge international conspiracies in only one gram of charas. Hence the title “One Gram Only”, explains Singh, who is not ready to reveal the star cast as yet, because “things are still at a premature stage”.
