MUMBAI: Even as god man Ram Rahim was granted a 40-day parole, a new film starring actress Arpita Mali as Radhe Maa and inspired by the lives and controversies of both Radhe Maa and Ram Rahim and titled “Oh Maa” is ready for release.

Speaking to media persons in Mumbai, the lead actor Arpita Mali said the film has been reshot and re-edited and will be released in December this year all over India.

“We have re-shot several portions of the film and added two more new item songs. It’s a comedy-murder-crime film that has all the elements of cinema – crime, sex, love, murder and suspense. It is a thrilling 1.5 hours action and comedy-packed film with loads of sex and sleaze – something that all adult audiences want to watch,” Arpita said.

“Due to the lockdown, audiences got used to OTT apps and platforms for their dose of sex and sleaze with apps like Ullu, Netflix, Alt Balaji and others making a killing as they roped in millions of subscribers. But the fun, entertainment and thrill of watching a film in a multiplex or large-screen platform still remains and audiences are once again beginning to understand that OTT is not the only option for watching good cinema. Our film will be released all over India in single and multi-screen theatres and we are working on it for a December release. The exact dates will be announced after Diwali,” Arpita announced.
