Global Intimate & Beachwear Fashion Week – GIBFW to be held at Goa in Dec

NEW DELHI: The inner wear revolution in India has reached a peak and now there is no turning back. Both men and women are very conscious about their inner-wear and no longer consider inner-wear and intimate wear to be a secret, private or dirty matter.

Till the last decade, there was nothing candid about inner-wear as it was considered a very private piece of clothing and a mere utility item. And especially for women, inner-wear was entirely a “hush-hush” affair and “lingerie” an outlandish or bold concept.

Today intimate wear is as significant as outerwear – in terms of comfort, quality, design, fit and styling, and even branding.

Little wonder, it’s now finding its way from the confines of the closet to the runways – and is dubbed as ‘Intimate Fashion’.

The Global Intimate & Beachwear Fashion Week (GIBFW) is a unique fashion and trade event that will be held in the tourism capital of India – Goa in December this year.

As a ideal location, Goa boasts of 100 per cent Covid vaccination for all its local residents, including taxi drivers, hotel staff, etc., thus making it a Covid-safe venue.

The GIBFW is a unique endeavor that strives to redefine the once a humble inner-wear to a ‘glamorous chic’ fashion statement and holding pride of place in every wardrobe and closet.

The major international glam and fashion event is scheduled for December in Goa and will feature international brands, labels and designers.

Over 200 brands from all over the world, including India will be on display, not to forget about two dozen specialist linger and beachwear designers who will showcase their creations at the Global Intimate & Beachwear Fashion Week (GIBFW).
