MUMBAI: An upcoming model and actress Sagarika Shona Suman, who was the first individual to come out and speak up openly to the media in February this year, and in a press conference expose Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra’s porn racket, which six months later ultimately led to his arrest, has now made another dramatic allegation.

According to Sagarika Shona Suman, since 2019 she has been actively scouting for work in the film industry and the lockdown since March 2020 only made things worse for upcoming artistes like herself.

Speaking exclusively to this reporter, Sagarika Shona Suman said that a person by the name of Jitu approached her during December 2020 and proposed that he could get her good work, assignments and money if she was ready to compromise. He introduced himself as being involved in events, exhibitions and beauty pageants and claimed or rather boasted he was close to some top politicians in Goa.

According to Sagarika Shona Suman, she was definitely not ready for such indecent proposals and offers, but still asked the individual who had introduced himself as Jitu, details of his projects. She also asked him whom she would have to compromise with.

At this point, Jitu told her that the person who would sponsor and fund the projects was a powerful politician from South Goa, from a constituency closer to the Goa-Karnataka border and that she would have to sleep with him if she wanted the assignments. She was told she would be paid Rs 2 lakh for spending about 4 to 5 hours or a night with the politician at a private flat in Goa and all travel and other expenses would be borne by them.

“Jitu told me that the politician from South Goa is also a big businessman and runs a huge business in Goa worth Rs 900 to Rs 1000 crore,” she said.

She would have to meet the politician in a privately owned flat in an upmarket gated complex in Goa and would not have to go to any hotels, she was told.

“Jitu boasted a lot and said many more things. I just quietly heard him out as one has to be very careful about what one says these days,” Sagarika told this journalist.

“As I was not going to take up the offer anyway, I told that individual Jitu that I was with my family and hence couldn’t discuss or talk to him much and would get back to him the next day. Later on, I blocked his number and never got back to him ever,” Sagarika Shona Suman told this reporter, adding that the concerned politician’s name was also disclosed and she would reveal the name of the person and more details at the right time.
