Shraddha Walkar murder: Bollywood speaks up, Kashmiri Muslim actor condemns Aftab Poonawalla, demands death penalty

MUMBAI: In the Shraddha Walkar murder case, Bollywood’s silence was being questioned by several Indians. Now Kashmiri Muslim actor and social media influencer Imran Nazir Khan has spoken up, condemning the alleged accused, Aftab Amin Poonawalla for the dastardly act in the strongest possible words and even demanding the death penalty for the guilty.

Speaking to this website, Imran said, “Humanity and Islam does not permit or tolerate the murder of any human being. This is a horrific act and a crime against humanity. The guilty must be punished and must be given the death penalty. Aftab Poonawalla must be tried by a fast track court and the trial must ideally conclude within six months. As a human being and an Indian, I call upon all Muslims to condemn this most horrific crime and support the victim.”

Actor Imran Nazir Khan has featured in shows like Gathbandhan (Colors Hindi), Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga (Sab Tv), Mariam Khan Reporting Live (Star Plus), Hamari Bahu Silk (Zee Tv), Madam Sir (Sab Tv) among others. He is a very popular social media influencer and vblogger and digital promoter. He has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films in second and third lead roles.

Imran has done over 500-plus print shoots and more than 200 ramp shows for the top fashion designers in India.

He is a popular face for ad films and music videos having featured in more than 50 music videos. He works with several NGOs and is a known social worker, supporting street kids with their education and medical expenses.

Imran who has helped several underprivileged youth in their fight against drugs, had promised to help Shraddha Walkar when he met her at a beach cleanup drive in 2021, but unfortunately she did not contact him after she left Mumbai for Delhi.
