MUMBAI: The Charkop police probing the Mumbai porn racket case – in which a former model and Bhojpuri actor-turned director and producer Yasmeen Khan is the main accused along with three others – have added rape charges to the case.

Yasmeen Khan was arrested in February 2021 in a similar porn racket case by the Property Cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch and released on bail after four months in judicial custody.

In this particular case registered at the Charkop police station, she has approached the Dindoshi sessions court at Goregaon East in suburban Mumbai for anticipatory bail and the arguments concluded yesterday. The court adjourned the matter for today (Wednesday) for orders, but with the addition of the rape charges, the anticipatory bail application (ABA) becomes infructuous and the ABA is set to be dismissed or rejected outright.

Yasmeen Khan and three other accused are absconding, while one has been arrested.

The Charkop police investigating the case, said four persons, including Yasmeen Khan, actor and director Anirudh Prasad Jangde, Amit Paswan and one Aditya have been named in the FIR registered recently, for cheating, threatening and blackmailing a woman to shoot nude and porn videos.

Sources alleged there are several women who were tricked into shooting adult or porn content and there are at least four more victims and complaints against Yasmeen Khan. Read more here
