Ullu CEO Vibhu Agarwal Molestation Case: Victim Arrested By Lucknow Police

MUMBAI: The victim/complainant in the Ullu Digital CEO molestation case registered at the Amboli police station was arrested by the Lucknow police today (Wednesday) in another case registered by the company in Lucknow.

The Lucknow police came to Mumbai armed with an arrest warrant and picked up the victim from her residence at Versova on Wednesday morning. She was taken to the Versova Police Station and will be produced in court for a transit remand.

After obtaining a transit remand, she will be taken to Lucknow by the Lucknow police for investigation where a case of cheating has been filed against her.

ULLU Digital Pvt Ltd had complained to the Cyber Cell, Lucknow Police on 10th June this year against unknown persons for cheating and extortion of money running into lakhs of rupees.

According to the company an internal investigation into the IP addresses revealed the involvement of ULLU’s former Legal Head, a woman, and her accomplices.

The complaint was then converted into an FIR 0021 of 2021 under Sections 384, 420 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 66 of the Information Technology Act 2008.

The woman victim filed a complaint with the Amboli Police Station alleging that she was molested by the CEO of Ullu Digital Mr Vibhu Agarwal and its country head Ms Anjali Raina.

A notice was served to the Legal Head victim and her accomplice on 18th June under section 41A Cr PC by the Lucknow Cyber Crime police in relation to the case and they were asked to appear for investigation on 5th July.

Since the victim did not appear, the Lucknow police obtained an arrest warrant and arrested her from her residence in Mumbai.
