Sonali Phogat’s family gets anonymous letter, offer of Rs 10 Cr to settle matter?
PANAJI: According to media reports, the family of late BJP leader and actor Sonali Phogat has received two anonymous letters over the last few days.
A relative Aman Poonia, who spoke to media persons claimed that in one of the letters an offer of Rs 10 crore was made to the family to settle the case.
Local media outlets in North India reported that the letters were passed on to the Goa Police to be eventually handed over to the CBI, which has taken over the investigation of the case from the Goa cops.
It was not clear as to which family member the letters were addressed to or by what mode – normal post or by courier, the letters were sent. The CBI which took over the investigation about two weeks ago, is tight-lipped over the matter and has not said a word so far on the angle of the probe.
Phogat’s family members have alleged a big politician or a couple of politicians belonging to a national political party are involved in the murder of Sonali Phogat and that her PA Sudhir Sangwan and his associate Sukhwinder were merely used as pawns or hitmen to carry out the killing.
