Respiratory diseases on the rise in Mumbai
MUMBAI: Respiratory diseases are on the rise in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, including Mira-Bhayandar and the Thane-Ambernath belt as the region has recorded a slight fall in day and night temperatures and further changes are expected in the coming days.
A survey by the Raksha Hospital Research Centre (RHRC) among several doctors in the MMR noted that cases of viral fever, flu, cough, asthma and other cases of bronchitis, both among kids and adults alike has noticeably increased.
According to Dr Pranav Kabra of the RHRC, it is a common seasonal indication as the MMR moves into the winter season and temperatures are likely to drop further and the air could get dryer.
