Raj Kundra’s Bail Application In Mumbai Sessions Court Adjourned To 26 Aug
MUMBAI: Bollywood star Shilpa Shettys’ husband Raj Kundra’s bail application which came up before the Additional sessions judge in Court No. 41 of the Mumbai Sessions court was adjourned to 26th August, after the counsel for Kundra prayed for an adjournment.
Apparently, Kundra has engaged a new senior counsel and replaced his earlier counsel Aabad Ponda.
The matter has been posted for 26th August for further hearing.
Kundra was arrested by the Property Cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch on 19th July and is in custody since then.
Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court on Wednesday granted interim protection from arrest to businessman Raj Kundra in connection with a porn films racket case registered by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell in 2020.
The case was registered in November 2020 and Kundra had applied for anticipatory bail in the matter. A sessions court had earlier rejected his anticipatory bail application.
A single bench of Justice S K Shinde directed the police to respond on August 25 to the pre-arrest bail plea filed by Kundra.
