Mumbai: In an explosive interview to IndyaTv.in, Gehana Vasisth Monday said that the sole intention of the victim-complainants is blackmail and extortion.

When their (victim-complainants) attempts at blackmail and extortion did not work out, they went to the police and registered complaints against me, Gehana stated.

“In both the cases registered at the Malwani police station, one in February 2021 and the second in July 2021, the victims had demanded money. In the first case, the woman demanded Rs 3 lakh and in the second case, the woman tried to extort Rs 10 lakh from me,” Gehana revealed.

“I tried to file complaints. I have submitted written complaints to the various authorities in this regard. But the police are not even ready to accept my written complaints. In the first case, in February itself, my lawyer has submitted a written complaint to the zonal DCP as well as to the Malwani Police Station.

Gehana has alleged that all the proof including WhatsApp messages of the complainants demanding money from time to time, are on her mobile phones which have been confiscated by the police in February. If the police reveal the WhatsApp chats with the so-called victims, everything will be very clear, she said.

“The model who registered the latest FIR in July, in which names of three other producers including myself are mentioned took money from me on several occasions in the last one year during the lock down. She used to call me “didi” and came to me several times after our shoot asking for work or money or both and I have helped her in whatever way was possible for me. How come after one year she filed her complaint,” Gehana asked?

“Additionally, this model has shot more than 20 films with different producers. How come she never found anything wrong at that time, a year ago, even as she continued shooting with different people,” Gehana asked?

Similarly, she alleged that the model who registered an FIR against her at the Malwani police station (FIR No. 123/2021) in February had demanded Rs 3 lakh from her and another 6 lakh from Rowa aka Yasmeen Khan as extortion. This incidence was known to the other producers as well and the concerned model was then blacklisted by all.

The Mumbai Crime Branch had lodged a fresh FIR in connection with a pornography case and named producers of businessman Raj Kundra’s company as well as actress Gehana Vasisth in the new case, a police official had told media persons in July.

The case was registered by the crime branch’s property cell at Malwani police station, after an actress approached the police and alleged she was forced to shoot for a pornographic film for the HotShots app.
