Kejriwal-AAP-run Punjab govt spends Rs 2.27 cr on Facebook ads in October, mostly targeted at Gujarat polls?
NEW DELHI: According to a Twitter post put out by Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) IT cell head, Amit Malviya, that quotes ad spend figures from Facebook, in the last one month from 28th September to 27th October, 2022, the Aam Aadmi Party-run Punjab government spent Rs 2.27 crore only on Facebook advertisements, boosting of posts and other social media activity on the Facebook platform.
This is only the ad spend by the AAP Punjab government and does not include other expenses by other arms of the AAP party or its proxies and individual MLA candidates or the Gujarat-wing of the AAP.
Malviya in his post adds that out of the Rs 2.27 crore, a staggering Rs 1.58 crore, or almost 69 percent, was used to boost posts and ads targeted at Gujarat and the Gujarat polls.
In the last one month AAP run Punjab Govt has spent 2.27 crore on Facebook advertisements, of which a staggering 1.58 crore, almost 69%, is targeted at Gujarat! Why are people of Punjab being made to pay for Kejriwal’s Gujarat campaign?

He further questions why the people of Punjab or the Punjab government must pay for the AAP and Kejriwal’s campaign for their poll pitch in Gujarat?
According to sources, the AAP, its proxies, MLA candidates and other sympathizers or silent supporters are spending more than Rs 15-18 crore per month only on social media campaigns targeted at the Gujarat polls and one begins to wonder where all this money is coming from?
