PANAJI: Cyclone Gulab which has formed as a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal is likely to bring heavy to very heavy rains to Goa and Maharashtra from 27 to 30 September.

The IMD has forecast heavy rainfall of 6.4 cms from September 27 to September 29 for Goa.

“With westward movement of this system, rainfall activity is likely to increase over Goa and Maharashtra from Sept 26,” the IMD said.

Meanwhile, the IMD advised fishermen not to venture into the sea during the above mentioned period from September 27 to 29.
