Actor Mahima Singh Puri on death bed, fighting for life after huge loss of blood

MUMBAI:  Model and actress Mahima Singh Puri’s condition is very serious and the young actor is reportedly battling for her life in a hospital in Andhra Pradesh.

She lost a lot of blood due to delay in admitting her to the hospital. Onlookers called the police who reached the accident site within 15-20 minutes and called for an ambulance.

By the time the ambulance arrived and she was shifted to a hospital, nearly 50 minutes were lost, resulting in a huge loss of blood.

She has been administered blood transfusion by the doctors but still needs at least 5 to 8 more bottles of blood. She was operated for head injuries and multiple fractures on Friday and Saturday, sources said.

Mahima who was last seen in the Maneesh Singh-directed film “Welcome to Chennai” met with a major bike accident in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday and has been admitted to a local hospital.

Her family is based in North India and is expected to reach the hospital today.

Mahima Singh-Puri was also seen in the film “True Love Never Dies” produced and directed by Chennai-based filmmaker Rameshnath Venkat Rao.

After pack-up, at a popular location in AP, where she was shooting for a web-series, Mahima Singh Puri went for a bike ride with a co-actor.

Since it was raining, the bike skidded and Mahima Singh-Puri was thrown in the air. Her co-actor was also injured badly, but not as much as her as he was wearing a helmet.

He is also admitted to a hospital, but is not serious.

Sources said Mahima Singh-Puri sustained three fractures on her left elbow, hand and right leg.

She has also serious head injuries and her condition is said to be very serious as there was a huge loss of blood.
