Woman who dated Aftab Poonawalla last year, while he was living with Shraddha Walkar speaks up

NEW DELHI: A Goan-origin woman, Cherlyne Martins, who briefly dated Aftab Poonawalla last year, even while he was living-in with Shraddha Walkar has said that Aftab told her his ex-girlfriend (Shraddha Walkar) was very frigid in bed and could not satisfy him sexually.

According to Martins, Poonawalla told her that he had split with Shraddha and was no longer living-in with her. He claimed that ‘he was the one who broke up with her because she could not satisfy him in bed.’

Earlier, Martins had alleged that Poonawalla impregnated her friend and then forced her to abort her pregnancy against her wishes.

According to her, Aftab was cheating and lying to all the women he dated or slept with, even while he was living-in with Shraddha Walkar.

“While he was dating me and sleeping with me, with the explicit promise to eventually marry me, he also slept with my friend and impregnated her by telling her that he does not like me and has broken up with me. It was I who introduced him to my friend who was also into reviewing restaurants and nightlife places and I thought Aftab could help her with clients and leads. Instead, he got her into bed, by saying he has broken up with me as he was “disgruntled” with me. Later on, after my break up, I came to know that he was sleeping with several women at the same time and cheating on all of them, including me and my friend,” Cherlyne said.

Cherlyne Martins originally hails from North Goa and her parents worked abroad. She had earlier lived in Mumbai, but shifted based to Delhi, where she worked for a short while as an assistant to a well-known fashion designer who owns an equally famous fashion label.

According to Martins, who refused to name her female friend (whom Aftab impregnated) as, “she is happy and engaged to another man and likely to get married in the next few months”, Aftab was dating both of them – Martins and her friend without each other’s knowledge and even slept with both of them on several occasions.

“He knew how to lie and how to manage and handle women. He was a pro at getting women into bed,” Cherlyne explained, defending her decision to sleep with him.
