VIP treatment in jail for Vaishali Thakkar’s ex-bf Rahul Navlani?
INDORE: Sources claimed that Tv actor Vaishali Thakkar’s ex-boyfriend Rahul Navlani could be getting VIP treatment inside the jail, as the latter is well-connected and could be using his money power and political connections to secure special favors inside the jail premises.
Last evening (Friday) a district court sent Rahul Navlani to 14-days judicial remand or jail custody, after his 8-days of PC or police custody expired.
Arrested by the Indore police while trying to flee the city, Rahul was wanted for abetting the suicide of his former girl friend and Tv actor Vaishali Takkar, who even left a suicide note wherein she clearly mentioned that Rahul Navlani and his wife Disha Navlani were responsible for driving her to take her own life. She implored her family to ensure that Navlani got the maximum punishment possible.
According to reports, Rahul who possessed some private and personal photos and videos of his ex-girl friend was using these to blackmail her into continuing the relationship with him.
Rahul did not want Vaishali to get married to anyone else and even sent their intimate images to Vaishaili’s current fiancé in California to break up their engagement.
Now, after spending 8 days in the police lockup, Rahul was remanded to jail custody by the court, but the going may not be so difficult for him.
Sources said Rahul could get a separate cell for security reasons and would not have to stay with the other under trials in the janta or common block.
The separate cells for VIP or high security prisoners have a separate toilet and bathing block and some of them have an attached toilet and bath area, which are cleaner than the common section and common toilets.
Rahul will be provided with a thin mattress and other bedding and will be entitled to a fan in his cell. There will be a separate earthen vessel for drinking water and other facilities that common prisoners or under trials can only dream of.
He will get better food that the others as VIP prisoners are entitled to additional items like milk, fruits, dahi (curd), bread, biscuits, etc., which could be purchased from the jail canteen.
While most other short-term prisoners or under trials who are in the jail for a week to 15 days before they get released on bail have to struggle to find their way around or to get even drinking water or a spot to sleep on in the crowded jail, Navlani will possibly have a separate cell to himself.
Added to all this with a little bit of money power, Rahul may not find it so difficult after all in the Indore jail.
