OTT Queen Jayshree Gaikwad signed on for two mythological web series projects for OTT platform

NEW DELHI: According to a press release, Red Ruby Films announced it has signed on Mumbai-based actor Jayshree Gaikwad – who is known as the OTT Queen for shooting for more than 30 web series (released) in the last two years – for two of its mythological religious web series projects for its new offering – a brand new Over The Top (OTT) APP platform dedicated only to Religious and Mythological serials and web series.

Jayshree Gaikwad is otherwise known for her bold roles on the OTT platforms and this is the first time she will be playing religious roles in mythological projects.

The APP will also feature religious songs, bhajans and related content of all religions, a director with the production house said.

And as part of the new OTT exclusively dedicated to Religious and Mythological serials and web series, Red Ruby Films said it was launching four new web series projects on Ramayan, Mahabharat, Sri Krishna and Veer Hanuman initially.

The production house also said it has signed on Jayshree Gaikwad for the main lead role for the two projects, but did not name which of the above projects she would be doing.

The shooting for the projects for Ramayan, Mahabharat, Sri Krishna and Veer Hanuman is expected to start in Mumbai in the second week of January next year, the production house said in a news release, adding that other star cast will be announced soon.

Jayshree Gaikwad is a star on the OTT space, with more than 30 web series for platforms like Ullu, Cineprime, Primeplay, Digi Movieplex, 9XRedHot, Nueflicks, Rabbit Movies, Kooku, Mango Fliks and others.

She has also done several smaller movies in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, albeit under a different stage name.

Jayashree Gaikwad is an Indian model-turned actress who has featured in many web series across various OTT platforms.

She is known for her bold acting and roles in some of the prominent web shows. She has acted in the Amrit Kumar Shah directed and produced upcoming film Tejasvini and in other web series projects. Besides, she has done hundreds of modeling assignments and print shoots for brands in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru.

She was born in 1992 and is 30 years old. Her year of birth has been wrongly published as 1988 on several websites – a fact that she is very upset about.

She has worked with OTT platforms including Cineprime, Primeplay, Digi Movieplex, 9XRedHot and many others.

Jayashree has also done films in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada and has appeared in Punjabi music videos and regional Tv serials.
