MUMBAI: According to late Tv actor Vaishali Thakkar’s co-worker and friend Priya Soni, one more woman who was earlier victimized and harassed by Thakkar’s ex-boyfriend has come forward to file a complaint against Rahul Navlani.

Navlani is presently in the custody of the Indore police in the jurisdiction of the Tejaji Nagar police station. A JMFC (Judicial Magistrate First Class) granted the cops 4 days police custody for investigation.

The second victim who also hails from Madhya Pradesh but lives in Delhi and presently is working for an airline as an air-hostess told the Mumbai-based model and actor Priya Soni that she will be filing a complaint with the Delhi police today.

“He (Rahul Navlani) harassed me during 2017. I had submitted a written complaint to the Delhi police at that time but no action was taken as the police were reluctant to register an FIR. Subsequently, I changed my phone numbers and even shifted my residence,” the victim told Priya.

According to Supreme Court of India guidelines the identity, name and image of a victim of sexual harassment or rape cannot be revealed and must be kept confidential and hence we have not divulged the name or the identity of the second victim.

“The harassment only stopped because Navlani did not know how and where to contact her. Yet he had harassed her for nearly 3-4 months in the year 2017, after meeting her on Facebook and befriending her,” Priya explained.

Meanwhile, the Tejaji Nagar police have instructed Takkar’s fiancé to send all the text messages and data of the WhatsApp chats between him and accused Navlani.

Speaking to media persons in Indore, commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra said, “We have asked the person to send across all pertinent data so that it can be verified and further help us in building a strong case against the accused.”

Mishra said Navlani was not co-operating with the cops and not giving proper and correct answers to their queries.
