PANAJI: Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) supremo Sudin Dhavalikar Saturday stated that his party along with their alliance partner the Trinamool Congress (TMC) was ready to support a Congress-led government in Goa.

He also said that should such a situation arise, he will stake his claim for the PWD Ministry in the government.

He also said he would not support any BJP alliance in which has Dr Pramod Sawant as its chief minister.

Dhavalikar defended the Trinamool Congress by saying the Goa TMC can be different from the Goa TMC unit as those who are part of the party in the coastal state are not from West Bengal, but are Goans.

He claimed that he was ready to support a BJP government in Goa, if either Nilesh Cabral or Viswhajit Rane were made Goa Chief Minister.
