Malayalam actor Dileep main conspirator in actress abduction, assault case

KOCHI: The police who managed to tie up the loose ends of the sensation 2017 actress abduction and sexual assault case, said there was some kind of conspiracy on Dileep’s part to malign the actress.

In fact, in later statements, the police said Dileep was the main conspirator in the case and had meticulously planned the entire incident also paying for the expenses involved.

According to the police, Dileep had also promised Sunil N S aka Pulsar Suni a huge amount for delivering video clips of the assault of the victim. The police had claimed that Dileep wanted to make the clips viral, showing that the victim was having an affair with Pulsar Suni and expose their “so-called sex video”, thus damaging the reputation of the victim whom he wanted to revenge.

Dileep was married to Manju Warrier from 1998 to 2014. Since Dileep and Kavya’s first film together, there were rumours that he was having an affair with actor Kavya Madhavan.

In 2014, Dileep and Manju were officially divorced. Kavya Madhavan and Dileep got married in 2016, less than two years after his divorce with Warrier.

At an event organised by the AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Actors) in 2013, Dileep had confronted the victim actress and alleged that she was responsible for creating a buzz in the industry that he and Kavya Madhavan (his present wife) were having an affair.

At that time Dileep was very much married to actress Manju Warrier and it became a ground for divorce.

Dileep also accused the actress of telling his then wife Manju Warrier that he was having an extra-marital affair with Kavya Madhavan and he wanted to get even with her and malign her reputation.
