MUMBAI: Well-known social worker theatre artiste, model and Marathi film actor Madhuri Sangita Patil speaking to media persons in Mumbai today claimed she was saved from sure death, only because of the untiring efforts of Dr Pranav Kabra and Raksha Multispecialty Hospital at Malad in suburban Mumbai, where she was admitted for the last seven days.

21-year-old Madhuri was shooting for an action web series for an OTT at Madh Island, near Malad in the western suburbs of Mumbai when she met with a terrible accident while performing a stunt act and fell nearly 10 to 12 feet below, landing on a hard surface causing grievous injuries to her body.

“Madhuri was supposed to jump from an elevated platform and land on a rubber sponge-bed some 12 to 14 feet below, but she tripped, lost her balance and slipped from the platform and instead landed on a stony hard surface causing several injuries and fractures,” Vrindaavan Films, the production house said in a statement.

“I suffered several head injuries and fractures and was rushed in an unconscious condition to the Raksha Hospital. There were more than six fractures and I had lost a lot of blood due to head injuries. Thanks to Dr Pranav Kabra who attended to me immediately without even asking for any payment, I have survived today,” Madhuri told this reporter on phone from the hospital, while expressing her gratitude to Dr Kabra for his help.

According to Dr Pranav Kabra, Madhuri had suffered multiple fractures and injuries due to the fall.

“We performed several minor operations and had to stitch up her skull. It was a challenging task, but I am glad that she has recovered fully and will be able to rejoin her work in the next 20 days,” Dr Kabra said.
