NEW DELHI: In a shocking bit of news, the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) head Swati Maliwal today said she was getting rape threats for taking a stand against Sajid Khan’s participation in the reality show Bigg Boss season 16 aired on Colors and hosted by Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

Maliwal tweeted a screengrab of her Instagram account with offensive messages that she claimed threatened to rape her.

She said she was being harassed and abused on social media with vulgar language, since she wrote a letter to the Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur demanding Khan’s removal from the show.

According to her tweet, she claimed she has filed a police complaint against the online accounts that were threatening and harassing her and hopes the culprits will be caught by the cops.

She has requested the Delhi police to register an FIR against the online abusers and book them.
