Curlies owner Edwin Nunes moves Supreme Court for bail
PANAJI: Reliable sources said that the owner of the controversial beach shack and restaurant Curlies, located at Anjuna in North Goa, Edwin Nunes, has moved the Supreme Court for anticipatory bail (ABA) after the Telangana High Court rejected his ABA on Thursday. Nunes SLP (Special Leave Petition) for anticipatory bail has been filed in the Supreme Court of India, a source said.

On Thursday, a vacation bench of the Telangana High Court headed by Justice Chillakur Sumalatha heard the anticipatory bail petition of Nunes, an alleged bulk drug supplier from Goa, praying for anticipatory bail, in the event of his arrest in connection with CR No 374/2022 registered at the Osmania University Police Station, Hyderabad. A special team of the Hyderabad City police led by Deputy Commissioner Sunitha Reddy visited Goa on Friday to search for Nunes, but had to return home empty handed as Nunes was not found at his residence. ALSO READ: More than 18 Goan clubs, restaurants on the radar of Hyderabad Narco cops
The Hyderabad cops have requested the Goa police and the Anjuna Police station to keep an eye out for Nunes, but he is not to be found, the Goa police have claimed.
