BREAKING: Umesh Kamat Used Shilpa Shetty’s Name To Get Access To B-Town Stars, Posed As Her PA

MUMBAI: In an exclusive interview with Frank Franklyn of IndyaTv.in, two Bollywood actresses and one popular Bigg Boss contestant who were approached to be featured on the controversial Raj Kundra-owned HotShots App, said that Umesh Kamat approached them on behalf of Shilpa Shetty claiming that both Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra jointly owned the HotShots App.

They were also told about Bollyfame and the J L Stream apps that Kundra had planned to launch as a replacement for HotShots.

The two actresses, whose names are being withheld on their request, told IndyaTv.in, when they got an SMS message mentioning Shilpa Shetty’s name, they immediately responded in person due to Shilpa’s brand equity in the film industry.

Later on they figured that they were chatting with one Umesh Kamat who claimed to be Shilpa’s (and Raj Kundra’s) PA and felt shortchanged, they admitted to this reporter.

“I would have never replied if I knew a secretary was talking to me, he misused Shilpa’s name, or was Shilpa in the know that this was happening, I will never know,” one of the actresses told this reporter.

Umesh had approached the actresses to promote the HotShots App and make bold paid appearances on the live streaming show of the APP.

The same information was corroborated by actor Sagarika Shona Suman, who verified that the trio were approached by Umesh Kamat, with the latter using Shilpa Shetty’s name to get access.

“He used Raj Kundra’s name, claiming that Raj is the owner of HotShots with models and fresher actors who were approached as artistes to shoot bold films. With A and B category Bollywood stars, Shilpa Shetty’s name was used,” Sagarika told this reporter.

Another actress Rimi Sen who was also approached in a similar fashion turned down the offer. Rimi was not reachable for comment.

Sagarika Shona Suman who blew the lid off the HotShots con game, was also told that Shilpa Shetty is part of the HotShots team as a brand ambassador.

She has already stated in various interviews that actors like Neha Dhupia, Celina Jaitley and some Bigg Boss contestants like Nikki Tamboli were on list of Umesh Kamat.

Celina Jaitley later on said that she was approached by Shilpa and not Raj Kundra.

We wonder if Shilpa Shetty was aware of all this, that was taking place in her name?
