VASAI: A reliable source at the Waliv police station at Vasai in Maharashtra’s Palghar district has claimed that Sheezan Khan (accused in the Tv actor Tunisha Sharma case) had anticipated trouble and seems to have rehearsed his lines and statements after the Shraddha Walkar murder case hit the headlines last month.

Rayya Labib, a friend of Tunisha Sharma who is spearheading the fight for justice for Tunisha, claims that Sheezan Khan knew that  something untoward could happen any day. “He was mentally prepared for it. He anticipated this day. Maybe he planned everything a month before taking a cue from the Aftab Poonawalla-Shraddha Walkar matter,” Rayya opined.

“He is smart and a smooth talker. Like Aaftab Poonawalla, he seems to have answers for all questions. It looks like he has rehearsed his lines. He seemed to know he would have to face this. He knew that he would be interrogated by the police one day or the other,” the police source said.

Meanwhile, Sheezan Khan will be produced in a Vasai court by the Waliv police of Palghar district today. It is not sure if he will be produced in the morning, first half. Very likely he will be produced in the afternoon, post-lunch session at 3 pm. Depending on the police stand it is very likely Sheezan Khan could be given judicial or magistrate remand and may eventually let off and enlarged on bail, because he has spent six days in police custody.

Probably, the police may add additional sections and demand further custody. It depends on the court and the view taken by the magistrate. It also depends on the arguments of Sheezan’s lawyer who is expected to oppose any further custody, Rayya explained.
