After Sagarika Shona Suman, Model Ishika Borah Accuses Umesh Kamat, Rajiv Gupta Of Promoting Raj Kundra’s Porn App

MUMBAI: After model and actress Sagrika Shona Suman accused arrested porn director Umesh Kamat of promoting the Hotshots APP and asking prospective models to pose nude and do porn shoots, another model Ishika Borah has now come forward to claim that two persons Umesh Kamat – who was introduced as CEO of Hotshots and a co-ordinator/director Rajiv Gupta (aka Ravi Gupta) – both claimed that Hotshots was financed and run by Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra and that Umesh was the CEO/MD of the company.

Speaking to this reporter, Ishika Borah said, “I met Umesh Kamat at Andheri West near CitiMall about one year ago. He claimed that he was working for Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra and that he was the CEO of the Hotshots APP. He told me that the project was financed and controlled by Raj Kundra, but the day-to-day affairs were all managed by him and that he decided about payment to the models. He offered me Rs 35,000 per day for a nude shoot. I was told that it would be artistic nude or art nude or erotica. Since I needed money, I agreed to do the art nude shoot,” Ishika told IndyaTv.

“We met for a second meeting at their office opposite Infinity Mall. There he told me that it would be a 24-hour shift. In the film industry each shift or each day is considered to be 8 hours or at the max 10 hours. I told him if we are going to be shooting for 24 hours, it would be equivalent to 3 shifts and that he should pay me for 3 shifts, which is Rs 1.05 lakh. He refused. He said hundreds of models were shooting for 24 hours at Madh and were being paid Rs 20-25,000, but he was willing to pay me Rs 35,000 as I am a known model. I refused but he tried to convince me several times,” Ishika said.

Ishika has also alleged that Umesh Gupta told her that there would be a 4-camera set-up. There would be two cameras in front, one camera at the bottom and one camera behind me. I asked him if it was only artistic nude, then how come there would be four cameras and that too one camera below or under or whats called low-angle. He said the footage was required for promotion of the videos. I refused to shoot for him because on one hand he was making me work for 3 shifts and paying for only one shift and secondly he was asking for low angle and back footage, which means it was clearly a hardcore porn shoot and not an art shoot as claimed by him. I later on came to know that Umesh was shooting hard core porn and the same was being sold to various foreign companies,” Ishika told IndyaTv.

“Umesh Kamat and his colleague Rajiv (Ravi) Gupta tried to convince me to shoot for them. On several occasions, Ravi Gupta tried to convince and influence me saying that Umesh was the CEO of Raj Kundra’s company and that my career would get a big boost if I worked with them. Umesh told me, the company was launching several APPs and that I should not miss the opportunity. He further said that celebs like Sherlyn Chopra, Poonam Pandey and many others were also shooting soft-porn after developing their own APPs through Raj Kundra’s software company Armsprime Media, which was based at Navi Mumbai.

Several times, both Umesh Kamat and Rajiv (Ravi) Gupta mentioned Raj Kundra’s name. “It was always Raj Kundra this and Raj Kundra that. Everyone in the industry knew that the content, software and video clips on the HotShots App were owned by Raj Kundra. They were also doing strip tease shows on HotShots APP where the model had to start wearing all her clothes and strip till she was topless and only wearing thongs or a skimpy panty. The models were paid Rs 25,000 to Rs 40,000 for these live strip shows by HotShots APP. The Live Strip Shows were conducted in the HotShots office and we were told that it was Raj Kundra’s office,” Ishika Borah said.

I did not work for Umesh Kamat -though I needed the money as I felt he was cheating the models. He was making strugglers work for 24 hour shifts and paying them only for a single shift, Ishika alleged.
