Three Goa Politicians On NCB Radar After Aryaan Khan Cruise Ship Drugs Bust
MUMBAI: Three local Goan politicians from North Goa are on the radar of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) – both at the Zonal office in Mumbai as well as the Goa station office level, following the cruise ship drugs bust involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.
While NCB sources refused to reveal nanes, the trio are likely to be summoned for questioning during the coming week. Right now the focus is on Aryan Khan in Mumbai whose bail application will come up for hearing in the Special NDPS Court of Sessions today.
In Mumbai the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested a Nigerian national on Sunday in connection with the cruise drugs party raid case, an NCB official said. Searches were conducted at six locations on Saturday and Sunday.
Anticipating detention and arrest, or at least questioning, as the NCB is aggressively cracking down on peddlers in Goa and Maharashtra, hundreds of Nigerians living in Mumbai and Goa have gone underground. There are many Nigerians living in North Goa in places like Calangute, Siolim and Arpora.
With Sunday’s arrest, the total number of people who have so far been arrested in connection with the case, including Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan stands at 20, the official said.
Giving details of the latest arrest, the official said a team of the NCB laid a trap in suburban Goregaon and apprehended the accused, a Nigerian national identified as Okaro Ouzama, “along with an intermediate quantity of cocaine” on Saturday. This is the second arrest of a foreign national in the case, the official said.
