Was in depression for 3 months after getting molested by Sajid Khan: Namrata Sharma Singh

MUMBAI: Model and actor Namrata Sharma Singh who recently opened up and alleged that she was molested by filmmaker and Bigg Boss contestant Sajid Khan Friday said she was in depression and suicidal for more than 3 months after the incident happened in 2011.

‘I felt like taking my own life. I was in depression for more than 3 months. Had to see a psychiatrist and take medication for depression. I stopped talking to people and totally kept away from all my male friends. I had begun to hate an distrust all men,” Namrata Sharma Singh said on Friday, while opening up further on the horrible incident nearly 12 years ago, accusing Sajid Khan of molestation and attempted rape.

According to Namrata, the molestation incident happened in 2011, when she had gone to meet Sajid Khan for an audition for a film. She alleged that Khan had made up his mind to rape her on that fateful day and it was only her quick thinking and presence of mind that saved her.

She had done a Gladrags fashion pageant in 2009 and was a successful ramp model at that time during 2007 to 2009.

As a ramp and fashion model Namrata had walked the ramp for several known fashion designers and brands of that time.
