MUMBAI: Actor and Me Too victim Sheela Priya Sheth, Monday evening in a statement released on Facebook has requested media persons to spell her surname correctly.

“I am not Seth but Sheth. Humble request to media to spell my surname as Sheth and not Seth,” Sheela said.

Earlier on Monday evening, she met with social activist Shreha Dhargalkar and a lawyer to discuss her case and explore the legal options available to her.

Sheela Priya Sheth who was sexually harassed by filmmaker and Bigg Boss 16 contestant Sajid Khan today revealed that Khan had also threatened her in 2008.

“After my meeting with him (Sajid Khan), where he made various sexual advances using vulgar and insulting language to me, which I bluntly turned down, Khan indirectly threatened me not to disclose anything about his interaction with me,” Sheela told this reporter.

While I was leaving, Sajid said, “It is in your own interest to keep your mouth shut and not whisper a word of our conversation outside. I have a battery of top lawyers who can pulverize you into powder. Not to forget the thugs who work for me,” Sajid Khan had menacingly told her with a threatening voice.

Speaking to this reporter, Sheela said, ‘In fact when the Bigg Boss season 16 show came on air and even before when various women came out in the open to accuse Sajid Khan, I was scared. I live alone and I am not doing too well financially. I do not have hotshot lawyers to take on Sajid Khan. That is why I kept quiet all this while. I tried to forget the incident, but it kept haunting me. I was in depression several times. It was only two weeks ago, when I met a social worker and activist Shreha Dhargalkar and narrated the incident to her, that she told me to go ahead and speak up and not be scared.”

“I will stand by you and support you through thick and thin,” Shreha Dhargalkar told me, which gave me the courage to come out in the open regarding this sexual harassment incident which happened 14 years ago, Sheela said.
