MUMBAI: Chef and gourmet home cook-turned film-maker and script writer Sonya Kaur based in Mumbai, took to her new Twitter account @ChefSonyaK to support and stand by singer Sona Mohapatra, who has made allegations of sexual misconduct against director Sajid Khan, music composer Anu Malik and others in the Me Too movement.

Writing on her Twitter timeline, Sonya said: On this auspicious day of #Dussehra let’s burn the #Raavan in our midst, on our Tv channels & the reality shows, which are watched by our kids. I support #sonamohapatra @sonamohapatra in her campaign against #sexoffenders. Let’s #boycott #Tv shows that promote sex offenders. She did not mention any names though, but tagged Sona Mohapatra in her post.

Sonya called for a boycott of Tv shows that promote sex offenders and without mentioning any names, targeted the reality show Bigg Boss, which airs on Colors for promoting Sajid Khan.

Meanwhile according to an E Times report, Mohapatra once again expressed her anger at some TV channels for ‘platforming serial sex offenders’.

In one more Instagram post, Sona said: it’s that time of the year when we celebrate Navratri and Durga Puja, but there are TV channels leveraging sex offenders accused in the Me Too movement by several women.

Sona Mohapatra said on Twitter: “India is celebrating #Navratri, #Durga Puja and #Womanhood. While also watching the complete disregard for women’s voices in the #MeTo movement by the Indian TV channels platforming serial sex offenders; Sajid Khan, Anu Malik, Vikas Behl, Suhel Seth, Kailash Kher.
