Shamita Shristi-Sharma goes topless for NGO’s Climate Change awareness campaign, raw images stolen, get leaked

BHOPAL:  Social and Climate Change activist, model and actress Shamita Shristi Sharma (who originally hails from Bhopal) had shot for an awareness campaign for an international Climate Change NGO last week, but before the final campaign poster could be out, raw images from the shoot have made their way on social media.

The “shock and awe” artistic concept poster campaign, where Shamita Shristi-Sharma’s upper body is covered with dried leaves and twigs was shot for an NGO, Global Climate Change Cause.

While the photographer claimed his camera data card bearing the images, which was in a pouch, along with other items was stolen in transit, the NGO has decided to change the concept and reshoot the images. Meanwhile, the leaked raw images are floating on some social media platforms including Facebook.

Shamita Shristi-Sharma nominated to represent India at the Mrs Universe Climate Change – an international pageant to be held in Singapore next year is associated with several Global warming awareness initiatives internationally.

Representatives and participants from more than 168 countries will be participating in the mega event to highlight the impact of Climate Change and Global Warming the world over. The poster campaign which she shot for is also associated with this event.

Besides the international pageant next year, there are country-wise and continent-wise pageants like Mrs India Climate Change and Mrs Asia Climate Change, which are being held.

35-year-old Shamita Shristi Sharma who is also into fashion-related events since the last few years, has done hundreds of print shoots and regional films in the last decade.

She currently lives in Mumbai and was shortlisted for the campaign from more than 200 participants nationwide after several rounds of prelims.

Global Climate Change Cause (GCCC), Singapore in association with the International Forum for Action on Climate Change (IFACC) is organizing a series of 12 events including an International Awards function, a convention and a pageant to highlight the impact of Global warming and Climate Change.
